Cape May Warbler

Near Philadelphia.

These handsome warblers (the Latin name, Dendroica tigrina, acknowledges the tigerish plumage) are migrants through the mid-Atlantic. They often show an impressive faithfulness toward very particular trees or bushes during their biannual treks: in autumn, I could always expect Cape May Warblers in a single Crepe Myrtle next to my childhood home, and I am hoping this May individual (or progeny) will show up again in this Yew.
