Flowers and Goldfinches—a marriage made in high summer. A mixed thicket of native wildflowers at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum attracted these twittering, bouncy-flying customers, intent on an early go at the seed cones of this Beebalm or Monarda. An Indigo Bunting sang nearby, and hummingbirds would zoom in for a quick sip and go.
